SECTION 5. Pulpit Committee. When the Church is in need of a Pastor a Pulpit Committee shall be selected by the Church, for the purpose of recommending to the Church a desirable candidate for the pulpit. The Pulpit Committee shall be composed of two deacons, two trustees, and three members elected from the Church body, with at least one of the elected members being a woman. There shall also be elected a first and second alternate members for the Pulpit Committee of which at least one shall be a woman. An alternate member shall be non-voting except when called to replace a regular member. The Church shall give no consideration to any candidate who is not first recommended to the Church by the Pulpit Committee. SECTION 6. Finance Committee. This committee shall consist of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the Chairman of the Board of Deacons, the Church Treasurer, and two members elected at the annual meeting. It shall be the duty of this committee to recommend to the Church at its annual meeting a proposed budget of anticipated receipts and expenditures, covering all the regular work of the Church for the coming year. This committee shall report to the council at its regular meetings and to the Church at its annual meeting upon the financial situation and standing of the Church. SECTION 7. Auditing Committee. There shall be an auditing committee composed of three members elected annually by the council. It shall be the duty of this committee to audit the books of the Treasurer at the end of each quarter, and to make a report of the same to the Church at the next regularly scheduled business meeting. ARTICLE VIII. Meetings SECTION 1. Fiscal Year. The fiscal year shall coincide with the calendar year. SECTION 2. Annual Business Meeting. The annual business meeting of the Church shall be held on the second Wednesday of January of each year. At this meeting the annual reports of all phases of the Church work shall be made, in writing. SECTION 3. Quarterly Business Meeting. A regular quarterly business meeting for the transaction of business shall be held on the second Wednesday of April, July, and October of each year. The quarterly business meeting in July shall also be the designated time for election of officers (except for the Pastor, Moderator, and two members of the Finance Committee) to serve from August 1st of the remainder of that calendar year and until July 31st of the following calendar year. 7 of 9
