Pastor Craig and His Family

Words From Our Pastor
Greetings:
What an honor and pleasure it is to
serve here at Vanderhoof Baptist Church for Marilyn, me and our Family. A Church goes through many changes in its life and
especially one that has such a long history as Vanderhoof having been formed in 1834. We
are an American Baptist Church that strongly believes that there is strength and promise
for the Lord because of our different gifts and backgrounds. We also know that Church life
has changed over the years and if used to glorify God then change will be good. We firmly
believe there is one thing that has not changed and that is our Lord. His creation is still valid and His offer of
redemption through Christ Jesus is still a free gift to all that will seek and receive it. Gods Holy Spirit is still with us and we
feel His presence in His Church at our times of worship and fellowship.
Marilyn and I strongly believe
that Vanderhoof has a special calling in this community and therefore we would like to
share with you our Vision for this Body of Believers. Our Vision for Vanderhoof is that it would become
known in our Community as a Church of Restoration where all are welcome to
come and worship that believe in God or are seeking a relationship with Him. This Vision has been refined since we
have been here and it is now a Vision and a Statement of Purpose held by all who worship and fellowship
together
it now reads: First; that God will be glorified in all we do and that we will be known as a real Community
Church that is a place of Safety, Salvation and Hope, sharing all things in common, and
seeking the mind of Christ through the study and teaching of Gods Word.
The entire Body Of Christ at
Vanderhoof welcomes you to come and experience a people and a place that places God above
ourselves in the hope that others will come to know the Love of God in their lives.
Blessings and
Peace
