VISION
STATEMENT
Our Vision for the body of Christ here at Vanderhoof Baptist Church: First, that God will be glorified in all we do and that we will be known as a real Community Church that is a place of Safety, Salvation and Hope sharing all things in common and seeking the mind of Christ though the study and teaching of Gods Word.
Pastor Craig

On February 9th, an
enjoyable day was had by the 63 people who attended the Ski/Tubing trip to Winterplace.
A caravan was formed at the
church and departed at 5:45am for the trip to Flat Top, WV. There were 12 vehicles that made the trip with the
church bus leading the way. A quick breakfast stop was made in Charleston and we arrived
at the Ski Barn rental shop at 9:00. The weather was great with a nice partly cloudy day
and temperatures in the low 40s.
The tubing crowd of 33 played
in the snow until l:00 with many rides down hill and over the humps. The ride back to the
top was made easier on the magic carpets even though the lines were a little long.
27 skiers enjoyed good skiing
conditions with all the slopes open. There were a few beginners who learned how to ski for
the first time and at least one who learned that he could still handle the steep
slopes
.!!!!!
Everyone took a break after
1:00 with a wonderful picnic lunch in the main lodge. Marilyn Holler & Keith Massie
did a great job of preparing the tables and keeping everything set up throughout the
afternoon as people took a break to eat. There were some tasty pepperoni rolls, sandwiches
and lots of cookies, drinks and chips.
The bus and others who had
finished tubing left after lunch and arrived back at Vanderhoof safely. The skiers left
the slopes at 4:00 and also made a safe turn to the church by 8:30pm.
It was a long day, but there
were no injuries and a fun time was had by all. We will plan another trip for next year
and hope to have a bigger crowd and a lot more fun.

THANKS to all the people who provided food for the Skiing Event held at Winterplace. It was much appreciated.
